Friends of Great Linford Manor Park secure extension to Courtyard Buildings sale moratorium.2/9/2026 At a meeting of Milton Keynes City Council's delegated decisions committee, held on Tuesday, August 25th, the Friends of Great Linford Manor Park raised concerns about the process that led to the proposed sale of the Courtyard Buildings and, along with other public speakers, called for the delegated decisions committee to defer their approval of the plan to add the buildings to the Council's asset disposal list.
While the Council ultimately took the decision to place the buildings on the disposal list, the Friends also asked that the moratorium on the sale (intended to give time for the Friends, or another community-led initiative, to step in) be extended from six months to twelve. This request was agreed to, so the heritage and cultural community in Milton Keynes now has more time to develop a plan for the buildings. The Friends are continuing to explore options and invite anyone with ideas or relevant expertise to get in touch.
